In the market for a new wireless router? You might want to hop over to Amazon.
The online retail giant has marked down two PCMag Editors’ Choice Wi-Fi routers as part of a one-day sale on select networking and storage products.
Normally priced at $99.99, Trendnet AC2600 StreamBoost MU-MIMO WiFi Router (TEW-827DRU), which scored an excellent rating from PCMag, is on sale today for just $79.99 with free shipping. This model earned props in PCMag’s review for its speedy throughput in testing, ample management settings, dual USB 3.0 ports, and more. It’s our Editors’ Choice for midrange routers.
If that’s still a little too pricey for you, consider the D-Link AC1200 Wi-Fi Router (DIR-842) (pictured above). Normally priced at a very reasonable $59.99, it’s available on Amazon today for just $39.99, also with free shipping. Garnering praise in PCMag’s review for its affordable price, good throughput performance, dual-band Wi-Fi, and more, this model is our top pick for budget Wi-Fi routers.
“With the proliferation of connected home products, having a router that can handle network traffic among multiple devices is more important than ever,” reviewer John R. Delaney wrote. “That said, not everyone needs the kind of networking power that you get from a $200-to-$300 router, and not everyone can afford one.”
If you’re in that camp, both of these routers are stellar options.
Meanwhile, Amazon has discounted a number of other networking and storage products by up to 40 percent as part of the sale. Check out the selection, but don’t waste time mulling it over because these deals expire at the end of the day.
